FLORA – LUMEN PRINTS, 2025

Traces of leaves and flowers burned into silver paper.
A fragile alchemy of time, light, and memory.

The Lumen print is a wonderfully unpredictable process — a slow exposure to sunlight that reveals surreal, almost x-ray-like colors.
A botanical imprint shaped by time and light.

In this series, plant materials are placed directly onto black and white photographic paper and exposed to natural light. The chemical reaction initiated by the sun gradually brings out colors and forms that feel both raw and dreamlike.
The prints are scanned before fixing to preserve the vivid and authentic colors produced by the exposure — hues that would otherwise fade or shift during the fixing process.

A quiet dialogue between nature and photosensitive surface, where each image becomes a unique, unrepeatable trace of organic matter and time.
