Manuel Succi is a creative mind with a digital background and an analog soul based in Italy.
Manuel’s work includes Creative Direction, Branding, Advertising, Naming, 2D animation, Graphic Design, Content Creation, Illustration and Analog Photography.
He started his journey in visual communication by getting a Bachelor of Arts in Video Design at the European Institute of Design (IED) in Rome.
Between 2006 and 2013 he worked as a visual designer in London and Rome – his work has been screened in festivals worldwide including Edinburgh Short Film Festival, Human Rights Film Festival of Barcelona, Possible Futures Film Festival in San Francisco, We The Peoples Film Festival at BFI London and YourWorldView in Delhi,India.
In 2014 he decided to dedicate himself to photography. The immediacy of the photographic medium allowed him to live directly the stories, the people and the different realities that created his images – a way of working that was radically different from his design work.
Particularly fascinated by analog photography, he studied the traditional techniques of development and printing in black and white at Officine Fotografiche in Rome. He has traveled in South America extensively, documenting the life of indigenous people living in the Peruvian Andes and the Achuar community in the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest.
Back in Italy he has exhibited his photography work in relevant art galleries, as well as have been feature in several magazines of the country.
Currently he works remotely as a freelance Creative and Visual Designer.
